    Founder's Story

    Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I was born and raised in Tanzania in a family of talented artists and craftsmen, where creativity was more than a profession it was a way of life. Growing up surrounded by paintings, hand-carved sculptures, and the dedication of skilled artisans gave me a deep appreciation for African art and the stories it tells.

    Watching family members transform simple pieces of wood and blank canvases into meaningful works of art inspired me from an early age. I learned that every sculpture, every brushstroke, and every carving carries a history, a tradition, and a connection to our culture. Those experiences shaped not only my love for art but also my desire to preserve and share Africa's rich artistic heritage with the world.

    As a young entrepreneur, I founded YuanArtsGallery with a vision to create opportunities for talented Tanzanian artists while making authentic African art accessible to collectors around the globe. My goal is to build a bridge between local artisans and the international community, ensuring that their creativity, craftsmanship, and cultural traditions receive the recognition they deserve.

    Artist`s Story


    Born and raised in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, Natharny Msuya is a talented and dedicated artist with a passion for storytelling through art. Specializing in pencil-based paintings, Natharny’s work captures raw emotion and intricate detail, showcasing his mastery of technique and artistic vision.

    In 2022, Natharny was certified and honored with an award at UniAwards Tanzania, a recognition of his exceptional talent and contribution to the art world. This achievement marked a turning point in his career, solidifying his reputation as a distinguished artist.

    In 2023, Natharny relocated to Zanzibar, where his journey took a transformative turn after collaborating with YuanArtsGallery. With the gallery’s support and mentorship, Natharny expanded his creative repertoire, venturing into various painting styles. He is now celebrated for his stunning Mama Africa portraits, which radiate strength, resilience, and the beauty of African womanhood.

    Through his art, Natharny continues to inspire audiences, drawing from his roots and experiences while embracing new techniques. His pieces are a testament to the power of growth, collaboration, and the timeless allure of African culture.
